Reception Cards

Many prefer to include their reception information on the wedding invitation.? However, there are times when a separate invitation to a wedding reception just makes sense.? Reception invitations are often used when a reception is being held at a different time than the wedding, or when some are invited to the reception but not to a wedding or vice versa.

Response Cards

Etiquette suggests NOT using a reply card. In fact, it is a relatively new concept.
Traditionally, your guests are supposed to hand write their reply to you in letter form. However, for expediency and convenience today's brides choose to include response cards in nearly all invitations.

If you choose not to use a reply card, you would simply send a small card with your RSVP information stating, “The favour of a reply is requested by [date],” or indicate that on your Reception Card.? A formal response should be returned to the bride on the guest’s personal stationary.

If you choose to use a reply card, may we suggest that you make a guest list with a number assigned to each guest. Mark the corresponding number in pencil on the back of each response card. This way, you will know quickly who has and has not replied. We offer this service by printing numbers on your response cards as we print the wordings of your choice.

Response cards can also inform guests what type of entertainment or meals they may expect.? This is also an excellent way to confirm meal selection.
